Clinic Details:
We have organized smaller clinic group sizes this year in order to focus more
closely on meeting the goals of each individual participant needs. All clinics
will review “basics” previously taught, then build to an advanced
level that is appropriate for each individual.
Each participant will arrive on Sunday afternoon to set up, settle in, and
begin! During the clinic everyday we will do ground work in the arena during
the morning (rain or shine). In the afternoons we will trail ride (weather
permitting). Visitors who are auditing (with you) are welcome to ride with
us in the afternoons.
Clinic Requirements:
LODGING - You are responsible
for your own sleeping quarters. You may camp for free at the Rodeo Grounds.
Electricity will be provided for camper/trailers. Rustic facilities “outhouse”
available! Showers have been available for a small fee at the Red Trail Campground.
Medora is located about a half a mile away and has a few hotel options.
MEALS
- Everyone is responsible for their own meals. Be in touch with your
group to organize shared dinners. Coffee will be provided in the mornings.
A slow cooker, toaster and electric frying pan will be available to use.

Clinic Requirements Continued:
HORSE
STALLS
- Separate sheltered horse stalls are provided with water. One horse per participant.
Extra stalls are available at a charge of $10.00 per day. You must provide
your own hay and feed.
PEOPLE GEAR - Helmets are required
at all times when leading, working or riding a horse. Bring all riding equipment
that you would normally bring to a trail ride. NOTE: Bring foul weather riding
gear and warm clothes, weather is always a concern and the evenings have been
known to be, shall we say...”chilly”.
HORSE GEAR - Horses should be
shoed or trimmed a few weeks before arriving to prevent soreness. Some people
use shoes in Medora and some get along fine without. For all clinic work a
SNAFFLE BIT is required. We will be riding 3-4 hours a day so please make
sure your saddle fits and you have a proper horse blanket.
TRAVEL PAPERS - Current travel
papers are required. The camp is periodically checked by a North Dakota Brand
Inspector who will require you to show him your horse’s travel papers
and brand certificate.
For any other questions
please call Ron at #520-241-8062.
We look forward to seeing you in Medora!
